How To Install libgdbm3 on Debian 9

What is libgdbm3
libgdbm3 is:
GNU dbm (‘gdbm’) is a library of database functions that use extendible hashing and works similarly to the standard UNIX ‘dbm’ functions.
The basic use of ‘gdbm’ is to store key/data pairs in a data file, thus providing a persistent version of the ‘dictionary’ Abstract Data Type (‘hash’ to perl programmers).

on Debian 9. We can use apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libgdbm3
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libgdbm3
How To Uninstall libgdbm3 on Debian 9
To uninstall only the libgdbm3
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libgdbm3
Uninstall libgdbm3 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libgdbm3
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libgdbm3
Remove libgdbm3 Configurations and Data
To remove libgdbm3
configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libgdbm3
Remove libgdbm3 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
