What is libgdal20
libgdal20 is:
GDAL is a translator library for raster geospatial data formats. As a library, it presents a single abstract data model to the calling application for all supported formats. The related OGR library (which lives within the GDAL source tree) provides a similar capability for simple features vector data.
GDAL supports many popular data formats, including commonly used ones (GeoTIFF, JPEG, PNG and more) as well as the ones used in GIS and remote sensing software packages (ERDAS Imagine, ESRI Arc/Info, ENVI, PCI Geomatics). Also supported many remote sensing and scientific data distribution formats such as HDF, EOS FAST, NOAA L1B, NetCDF, FITS.
OGR library supports popular vector formats like ESRI Shapefile, TIGER data, S57, MapInfo File, DGN, GML and more.
This package contains the shared library.
There are three methods to install libgdal20 on Debian 9. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

To uninstall only the libgdal20 package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libgdal20
Uninstall libgdal20 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libgdal20 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libgdal20
Remove libgdal20 Configurations and Data
To remove libgdal20 configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libgdal20
Remove libgdal20 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libgdal20 configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libgdal20
