How To Install libgdal-dev on Kali Linux

What is libgdal-dev
libgdal-dev is:
GDAL is a translator library for raster geospatial data formats. As a library, it presents a single abstract data model to the calling application for all supported formats. The related OGR library (which lives within the GDAL source tree) provides a similar capability for simple features vector data.
GDAL supports many popular data formats, including commonly used ones (GeoTIFF, JPEG, PNG and more) as well as the ones used in GIS and remote sensing software packages (ERDAS Imagine, ESRI Arc/Info, ENVI, PCI Geomatics). Also supported many remote sensing and scientific data distribution formats such as HDF, EOS FAST, NOAA L1B, NetCDF, FITS.
OGR library supports popular vector formats like ESRI Shapefile, TIGER data, S57, MapInfo File, DGN, GML and more.
This package contains the files needed to develop a software that will use the GDAL/OGR (headers, static objects, configuration script).
There are three methods to install libgdal-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libgdal-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libgdal-dev using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libgdal-dev using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libgdal-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libgdal-devHow To Uninstall libgdal-dev on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libgdal-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libgdal-devUninstall libgdal-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libgdal-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libgdal-devRemove libgdal-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libgdal-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libgdal-devRemove libgdal-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libgdal-dev configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
