What is libfolia6
libfolia6 is:
FoLiA is an XML-based format for Linguistic Annotation suitable for representing written language resources such as corpora. Its goal is to unify a variety of linguistic annotations in one single rich format, without committing to any particular standard annotation set. Instead, it seeks to accommodate any desired system or tagset, and so offer maximum flexibility. This makes FoLiA language independent. see https://proycon.github.io/folia for more information.
libfolia is a product of the Centre of Language and Speech Technology, Radboud University Nijmegen (The Netherlands), it was previously developed at the ILK Research Group, Tilburg University. Work on libfolia is funded by NWO, the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research.
This package provides the runtime files required to run programs that use libfolia and implements FoLiA v1.4.
There are three methods to install libfolia6 on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libfolia6 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libfolia6 using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libfolia6

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libfolia6 using apt by running the following command:

Install libfolia6 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libfolia6 using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libfolia6
How To Uninstall libfolia6 on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libfolia6 package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libfolia6

To uninstall libfolia6 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libfolia6
Remove libfolia6 Configurations and Data
To remove libfolia6 configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libfolia6
Remove libfolia6 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libfolia6 configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libfolia6
