How To Install libfml-dev on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libfml-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libfml-dev
libfml-dev is:
Fermi-lite is a standalone C library tool for assembling Illumina short reads in regions from 100bp to 10 million bp in size.
This package contains the C library headers for using libfml in custom tools, along with a static library.
There are three methods to install libfml-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libfml-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libfml-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libfml-devInstall libfml-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libfml-dev using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libfml-devInstall libfml-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libfml-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libfml-devHow To Uninstall libfml-dev on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libfml-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libfml-devUninstall libfml-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libfml-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libfml-devRemove libfml-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libfml-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libfml-devRemove libfml-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libfml-dev configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libfml-devDependencies
