How To Install libfixbuf3 on Ubuntu 18.04

What is libfixbuf3
libfixbuf3 is:
libfixbuf is a compliant implementation of the IPFIX Protocol, as defined in RFC 5101. It supports the information model defined in RFC 5102, extended as proposed by RFC 5103 to support information elements for representing biflows. libfixbuf supports UDP, TCP, SCTP, TLS over TCP, and Spread as transport protocols. It also supports operation as an IPFIX File Writer or IPFIX File Reader.

There are three methods to install libfixbuf3 on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libfixbuf3 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libfixbuf3 using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libfixbuf3
Install libfixbuf3 Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libfixbuf3 using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libfixbuf3
Install libfixbuf3 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libfixbuf3 using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libfixbuf3
How To Uninstall libfixbuf3 on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libfixbuf3 package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libfixbuf3
Uninstall libfixbuf3 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libfixbuf3 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libfixbuf3
Remove libfixbuf3 Configurations and Data
To remove libfixbuf3 configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libfixbuf3
Remove libfixbuf3 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libfixbuf3 configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libfixbuf3
