How To Install libfann2 on Kali Linux

Fast Artificial Neural Network Library is a free open source neural network library, which implements multilayer artificial neural networks in C with support for both fully connected and sparsely connected networks. Cross-platform execution in both fixed and floating point are supported. It includes a framework for easy handling of training data sets. It is easy to use, versatile, well documented, and fast.

This package contains the shared libraries.

There are three methods to install libfann2 on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libfann2 Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install libfann2 using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install libfann2

Install libfann2 Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install libfann2 using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install libfann2

Install libfann2 Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install libfann2 using aptitude by running the following command:
