How To Install libfakeroot on Ubuntu 20.04

What is libfakeroot
libfakeroot is:
fakeroot provides a fake “root environment” by means of LD_PRELOAD and SysV IPC (or TCP) trickery. It puts wrappers around getuid(), chown(), stat(), and other file-manipulation functions, so that unprivileged users can (for instance) populate .deb archives with root-owned files; various build tools use fakeroot for this by default.

There are three methods to install libfakeroot
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get

After updating apt database, We can install libfakeroot

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libfakeroot
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libfakeroot

sudo apt-get remove libfakeroot

and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libfakeroot

configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libfakeroot
