How To Install libevdev-dev on Debian 9

on Debian 9.
What is libevdev-dev
libevdev-dev is:
libevdev is a wrapper library for evdev devices. It provides functions covering the common tasks when dealing with evdev devices, thus avoiding erroneous ioctls and other errors.
This package contains the files required to build software using libevdev.
There are three methods to install libevdev-dev
on Debian 9. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install libevdev-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libevdev-dev
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libevdev-dev

using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install libevdev-dev

Install libevdev-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libevdev-dev
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libevdev-dev
How To Uninstall libevdev-dev on Debian 9
To uninstall only the libevdev-dev
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libevdev-dev
Uninstall libevdev-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libevdev-dev
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libevdev-dev
Remove libevdev-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libevdev-dev
configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libevdev-dev
