In this tutorial we learn how to install libenet-doc on Ubuntu 18.04.

What is libenet-doc

libenet-doc is:

ENet’s purpose is to provide a relatively thin, simple and robust network communication layer on top of UDP (User Datagram Protocol). The primary feature it provides is optional reliable, in-order delivery of packets.

ENet is NOT intended to be a general purpose high level networking library that handles authentication, lobbying, server discovery, compression, encryption and other high level, often application level or dependent tasks.

There are three methods to install libenet-doc on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libenet-doc Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install libenet-doc using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install libenet-doc

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update
