How To Install libemf-dev on Ubuntu 20.04

on Ubuntu 20.04.
What is libemf-dev
libemf-dev is:
libEMF is a C/C++ library which provides a drawing toolkit based on ECMA-234. The general purpose of this library is to create vector graphics files on POSIX systems which can be imported into OpenOffice.org or LibreOffice. Times have changed, though. These days, you can import SVGs, or even PDFs, into OpenOffice or LibreOffice. Those are much better choices than EMF files.
This package contains the static libraries and headers for developing applications that use the libEMF library API.
There are three methods to install libemf-dev
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude

After updating apt database, We can install libemf-dev
using aptitude
by running the following command:

How To Uninstall libemf-dev on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the libemf-dev
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libemf-dev

and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libemf-dev
Remove libemf-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libemf-dev
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libemf-dev
