How To Install libector1 on Ubuntu 20.04

In this tutorial we learn how to install libector1
on Ubuntu 20.04.
What is libector1
libector1 is:
Ector provides a new retained rendering library that is used by Evas to provide Evas_Object_VG. This is a new Evas_Object that provides a vector graphics scene graph following the SVG specification. It will be considered a bug if some behaviour does not follow the SVG standard. Evas_Object_VG provides 3 kind of objects for now: shape, as well as linear and radial gradients.
This is part of the Enlightenment Foundation Libraries (EFL).
This package provides the libector1 library.
There are three methods to install libector1
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libector1 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libector1
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libector1

After updating apt database, We can install libector1

Install libector1 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude

After updating apt database, We can install libector1
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libector1
How To Uninstall libector1 on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the libector1
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libector1
Uninstall libector1 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libector1
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libector1
Remove libector1 Configurations and Data
To remove libector1
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libector1
Remove libector1 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
