How To Install libecpg-dev on Kali Linux

What is libecpg-dev
libecpg-dev is:
This package contains the necessary files to build ECPG (Embedded PostgreSQL for C) programs. It includes the development libraries and the preprocessor program ecpg.
PostgreSQL is an object-relational SQL database management system.
Install this package if you want to write C programs with SQL statements embedded in them (rather than run by an external process).
There are three methods to install libecpg-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libecpg-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libecpg-dev using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
