How To Install libeconf-dev on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libeconf-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libeconf-dev
libeconf-dev is:
libeconf is a highly flexible and configureable library to parse and manage key=value configuration files. It reads configuration file snippets from different directories and builds the final configuration file for the application from it.
The first file is the vendor provided configuration file. There are two methods of overriding this vendor settings: copy the file from /usr/vendordir to /etc and modify the settings. Alternatively, a directory named file.suffix.d/ within /etc can be created, with drop-in files in the form name.suffix. This files contain only the changes of the specific settings the user is interested in. There can be several such drop-in files, they are processed in lexicographic order of their filename.
This package provides the development files needed at compile-time.
There are three methods to install libeconf-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libeconf-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libeconf-dev using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude -y install libeconf-devHow To Uninstall libeconf-dev on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libeconf-dev package we can use the following command:

To uninstall libeconf-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libeconf-devRemove libeconf-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libeconf-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libeconf-devRemove libeconf-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libeconf-dev configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
