How To Install libdv4-dev on Kali Linux

What is libdv4-dev
libdv4-dev is:
The Quasar DV Codec (libdv) is a software decoder for DV format video, as defined by the IEC 61834 and SMPTE 314M standards. DV is the encoding format used by consumer-grade digital camcorders.
This package contains the development headers and library files needed to compile programs using libdv.
There are three methods to install libdv4-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libdv4-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libdv4-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libdv4-devInstall libdv4-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libdv4-dev using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the libdv4-dev package we can use the following command:

To remove libdv4-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
