How To Install libdnssec9 on Debian 12

What is libdnssec9
libdnssec9 is:
Knot DNS is a fast, authoritative only, high performance, feature full and open source name server.
Knot DNS is developed by CZ.NIC Labs, the R&D department of .CZ registry and hence is well suited to run anything from the root zone, the top-level domain, to many smaller standard domain names.
This package provides common DNSSEC shared library used by Knot DNS and Knot Resolver.
There are three methods to install libdnssec9 on Debian 12. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libdnssec9 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libdnssec9 using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libdnssec9
Install libdnssec9 Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libdnssec9 using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libdnssec9
Install libdnssec9 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libdnssec9 using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libdnssec9
How To Uninstall libdnssec9 on Debian 12
To uninstall only the libdnssec9 package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libdnssec9
Uninstall libdnssec9 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libdnssec9 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 12, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libdnssec9

To remove libdnssec9 configuration and data from Debian 12 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libdnssec9
