How To Install libdmalloc5 on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libdmalloc5 on Kali Linux.
What is libdmalloc5
libdmalloc5 is:
Drop in replacement for the system’s
malloc',realloc’,calloc',free’ and other memory management routines while providing powerful debugging facilities configurable at runtime.
These facilities include such things as memory-leak tracking, fence-post write detection, file/line number reporting, and general logging of statistics.
This package contains only the shared libraries, the development files and documentation is in the libdmalloc-dev package.
There are three methods to install libdmalloc5 on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libdmalloc5 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libdmalloc5 using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libdmalloc5Install libdmalloc5 Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
