How To Install libddcutil3 on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libddcutil3 on Kali Linux.

What is libddcutil3

libddcutil3 is:

This is the shared library version of ddcutil.

ddcutil communicates with monitors implementing MCCS (Monitor Control Command Set). Normally, communication is performed using the DDC/CI protocol on the I2C bus. Alternatively, communication can be performed over USB as per the USB Monitor Control Class Specification.

There are three methods to install libddcutil3 on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get -y autoremove libddcutil3

sudo apt-get -y purge libddcutil3
