How To Install libdcmtk16 on Ubuntu 22.04

libdcmtk16 is:
DCMTK includes a collection of libraries and applications for examining, constructing and converting DICOM image files, handling offline media, sending and receiving images over a network connection, as well as demonstrative image storage and worklist servers.
This package contains the runtime libraries for the DCMTK utility applications.
Note: This version was compiled with libssl support.
There are three methods to install libdcmtk16 on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libdcmtk16 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libdcmtk16 using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install libdcmtk16 using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo apt-get -y autoremove libdcmtk16

To remove libdcmtk16 configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libdcmtk16

We can use the following command to remove libdcmtk16 configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
