How To Install libdc1394-utils on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libdc1394-utils on Kali Linux.
What is libdc1394-utils
libdc1394-utils is:
libdc1394 is a library that is intended to provide a high level programming interface for application developers who wish to control IEEE 1394 based cameras that conform to the 1394-based Digital Camera Specification (found at http://www.1394ta.org/).
This version of libdc1394 supports both the old and new (juju) FireWire stack. It automatically detects which one to use at runtime.
This package contains an example program.
There are three methods to install libdc1394-utils on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libdc1394-utils Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libdc1394-utils using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libdc1394-utilsInstall libdc1394-utils Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
