How To Install libdc1394 on CentOS 7

What is libdc1394
Libdc1394 is a library that is intended to provide a high level programming interface for application developers who wish to control IEEE 1394 based cameras that conform to the 1394-based Digital Camera Specification.
We can use yum or dnf to install libdc1394 on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install libdc1394.
Install libdc1394 on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install libdc1394 using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install libdc1394
Install libdc1394 on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install libdc1394 using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install libdc1394
How To Uninstall libdc1394 on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the libdc1394 package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove libdc1394
