on Rocky Linux 8.
What is libdasm-devel
The libdasm-devel package contains libraries and header files for developing applications that use libdasm. libdasm is a C-library that tries to provide simple and convenient way to disassemble Intel x86 raw op-code bytes (machine code). It can parse and print out op-codes in AT&T and Intel syntax. The op-codes are based on IA-32 Intel Architecture Software Developers Manual Volume 2 year 2004. Non-Intel instructions are not supported at the moment (also, non-Intel but Intel-compatible CPU extensions, like AMD 3DNow! are not supported).
We can use yum
or dnf
to install libdasm-devel
on Rocky Linux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install libdasm-devel.
Install libdasm-devel on Rocky Linux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install libdasm-devel
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install libdasm-devel
Install libdasm-devel on Rocky Linux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install libdasm-devel
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install libdasm-devel
How To Uninstall libdasm-devel on Rocky Linux 8
To uninstall only the libdasm-devel
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove libdasm-devel
