How To Install libczmq4 on Ubuntu 18.04

What is libczmq4
libczmq4 is:
czmq (previously known as libzapi) provides a high-level C binding for 0MQ, a lightweight messaging library.
This library provides higher level abstractions on top of the base library, with features such as:
- Work with messages as strings, individual frames, or multipart messages.
- Automatic closure of any open sockets at context termination.
- Automatic LINGER configuration of all sockets for context termination.
- Portable API for creating child threads and ØMQ pipes to talk to them.
- Simple reactor with one-off and repeated timers, and socket readers.
- System clock functions for sleeping and calculating timers.
- Easy API to get/set all socket options.
- Includes generic hash and list containers.
There are three methods to install libczmq4 on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libczmq4 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libczmq4 using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install libczmq4 using apt by running the following command:

Install libczmq4 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libczmq4 using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libczmq4
How To Uninstall libczmq4 on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libczmq4 package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libczmq4
Uninstall libczmq4 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libczmq4 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libczmq4
Remove libczmq4 Configurations and Data
To remove libczmq4 configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libczmq4
Remove libczmq4 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libczmq4 configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libczmq4
