How To Install libctypes-ocaml on Kali Linux

What is libctypes-ocaml

The ocaml-ctypes library makes it possible to call C functions directly from OCaml without writing or generating C code. The core of the library is a set of combinators for describing C types – scalars, functions, structs, unions, arrays, and pointers to values and functions. Type descriptions can then be used to bind native functions and values.
This package contains the shared runtime stub library and plugins.
There are three methods to install libctypes-ocaml on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libctypes-ocaml Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libctypes-ocaml using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libctypes-ocamlInstall libctypes-ocaml Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libctypes-ocaml using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libctypes-ocamlInstall libctypes-ocaml Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libctypes-ocaml using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libctypes-ocamlHow To Uninstall libctypes-ocaml on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libctypes-ocaml package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libctypes-ocamlUninstall libctypes-ocaml And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libctypes-ocaml and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libctypes-ocamlRemove libctypes-ocaml Configurations and Data
To remove libctypes-ocaml configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libctypes-ocamlRemove libctypes-ocaml configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libctypes-ocaml configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libctypes-ocamlDependencies
