What is libcortado-java

By embedding the cortado applet in your website, you can give viewers access to streams from either the Flumotion streaming server or any HTTP server providing multimedia files without the need for a locally installed media player supporting the correct formats on the visitor’s computer. Cortado currently include Java decoders for Ogg Theora, Ogg Vorbis (the JOrbis library), Mulaw audio, MJPEG and Flumotion’s Smoke codec.
The package cotains the actual jar files that can be used by other programs to provide Theora playback capability.
There are three methods to install libcortado-java on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libcortado-java Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libcortado-java using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libcortado-javaInstall libcortado-java Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libcortado-java using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the libcortado-java package we can use the following command:

To uninstall libcortado-java and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libcortado-javaRemove libcortado-java Configurations and Data
To remove libcortado-java configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libcortado-javaRemove libcortado-java configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
