How To Install libcoda-jni on Debian 11

What is libcoda-jni
libcoda-jni is:
The Common Data Access framework allows reading of scientific data from various data formats, including structured ascii, structured binary, XML, netCDF, CDF, HDF4, HDF5, GRIB, RINEX and SP3. It provides a single consistent hierarchical view on data independent of the underlying storage format.
This package contains Java Native Interface (JNI) needed to use CODA.
There are three methods to install libcoda-jni
on Debian 11. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libcoda-jni Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libcoda-jni
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libcoda-jni

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libcoda-jni
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libcoda-jni
Install libcoda-jni Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libcoda-jni
using aptitude

How To Uninstall libcoda-jni on Debian 11
To uninstall only the libcoda-jni
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libcoda-jni

and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 11, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libcoda-jni
