How To Install libcoda-java on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libcoda-java on Kali Linux.
What is libcoda-java
libcoda-java is:
The Common Data Access framework allows reading of scientific data from various data formats, including structured ascii, structured binary, XML, netCDF, CDF, HDF4, HDF5, GRIB, RINEX and SP3. It provides a single consistent hierarchical view on data independent of the underlying storage format.
This package contains Java files needed to use the CODA framework.
There are three methods to install libcoda-java on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libcoda-java Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libcoda-java using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libcoda-javaInstall libcoda-java Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libcoda-java using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libcoda-javaInstall libcoda-java Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libcoda-java using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libcoda-javaHow To Uninstall libcoda-java on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libcoda-java package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libcoda-javaUninstall libcoda-java And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libcoda-java and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libcoda-javaRemove libcoda-java Configurations and Data
To remove libcoda-java configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libcoda-javaRemove libcoda-java configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libcoda-java configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libcoda-javaDependencies
