How To Install libchm1 on Debian 10

What is libchm1

CHM files are used on the Microsoft Windows platform to store program documentation, almost always in the form of HTML, with some non-standard quirks. CHM files are a form of archive known as InfoTech Storage Format (ITSF) files and contain some special files to implement features of the CHM viewer.
There are three methods to install libchm1
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install libchm1 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libchm1
using apt-get

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude

After updating apt database, We can install libchm1

How To Uninstall libchm1 on Debian 10
To uninstall only the libchm1
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libchm1
Uninstall libchm1 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libchm1

sudo apt-get -y autoremove libchm1
Remove libchm1 Configurations and Data

configuration and data from Debian 10 we can use the following command:
