How To Install libchardet1 on Debian 9

In this tutorial we learn how to install libchardet1 on Debian 9.
What is libchardet1
libchardet1 is:
libchardet is based on Mozilla Universal Charset Detector library and detects the character set used to encode data.
The original code was written by Netscape for the Mozilla Browser. Later, the code was turned into the Encode::Detect Perl module, known in Debian as libencode-detect-perl. This library switches the Perl wrapper API, to form a C library with a libtool build environment.
This package provides the shared libraries needed to run programs using libchardet.
There are three methods to install libchardet1 on Debian 9. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libchardet1 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libchardet1 using apt-get by running the following command:
