How To Install libcext-dev on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libcext-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libcext-dev
libcext-dev is:
This is a C utility library, which is used to implement ESO’s Common Pipeline Library (CPL). The library contains a basic collections framework (maps, linked lists, queues), memory management, strings, logging and others.
The package contains the static library and the C header files.
There are three methods to install libcext-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libcext-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libcext-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libcext-devInstall libcext-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libcext-dev using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libcext-devInstall libcext-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libcext-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libcext-devHow To Uninstall libcext-dev on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libcext-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libcext-devUninstall libcext-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libcext-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libcext-devRemove libcext-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libcext-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libcext-devRemove libcext-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libcext-dev configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
