How To Install libcdr-doc on Debian 10

In this tutorial we learn how to install libcdr-doc
on Debian 10.
What is libcdr-doc
libcdr-doc is:
libcdr is a library and a set of tools for reading and converting binary files produced by Corel DRAW.
libcdr currently supports just CDR files from V7 to X3 and the following features:
- pages and page sizes
- shapes, lines, Bezier curves, bitmaps
- flat color fills, both RGB, CMYK, HLS and HSB
- different kinds of strokes including dashed strokes
Above that libcdr provides a public API for rendering preview of pages for applications that have no notion of pages themselves.

There are three methods to install libcdr-doc
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install libcdr-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libcdr-doc
using apt-get

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install libcdr-doc
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libcdr-doc
How To Uninstall libcdr-doc on Debian 10
To uninstall only the libcdr-doc
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libcdr-doc

To uninstall libcdr-doc
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 10, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libcdr-doc
