How To Install libcdk-perl on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libcdk-perl on Kali Linux.
What is libcdk-perl
libcdk-perl is:
CDK stands for “Curses Development Kit”. CDK sits on top of the curses library and provides 22 ready to use widgets for rapid application development of text-based interfaces. CDK delivers many of the common widget types required for a robust interface. Widgets can be combined to create complex widgets if needed.
This package provides a Perl interface for the CDK library.
There are three methods to install libcdk-perl on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libcdk-perl Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libcdk-perl using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libcdk-perlInstall libcdk-perl Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libcdk-perl using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libcdk-perlInstall libcdk-perl Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libcdk-perl using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libcdk-perlHow To Uninstall libcdk-perl on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libcdk-perl package we can use the following command:

To uninstall libcdk-perl and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libcdk-perlRemove libcdk-perl Configurations and Data
To remove libcdk-perl configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libcdk-perlRemove libcdk-perl configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
