How To Install libcdio17 on Ubuntu 18.04

This library is to encapsulate CD-ROM reading and control. Applications wishing to be oblivious of the OS- and device-dependant properties of a CD-ROM can use this library.
Some support for disk image types like BIN/CUE and NRG is available, so applications that use this library also have the ability to read disc images as though they were CD’s.
There are three methods to install libcdio17
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libcdio17
using apt-get

After updating apt database, We can install libcdio17

Install libcdio17 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude

and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libcdio17
Remove libcdio17 Configurations and Data
To remove libcdio17
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libcdio17
Remove libcdio17 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
