How To Install libcdio++-dev on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libcdio++-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libcdio++-dev
libcdio++-dev is:
This package contains development files (headers and static library) for the libcdio++ library.
This library is to encapsulate CD-ROM reading and control. Applications wishing to be oblivious of the OS- and device-dependant properties of a CD-ROM can use this library.
Some support for disk image types like BIN/CUE and NRG is available, so applications that use this library also have the ability to read disc images as though they were CD’s.
There are three methods to install libcdio++-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libcdio++-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libcdio++-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libcdio++-devInstall libcdio++-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libcdio++-dev using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libcdio++-devInstall libcdio++-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libcdio++-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libcdio++-devHow To Uninstall libcdio++-dev on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libcdio++-dev package we can use the following command:

To uninstall libcdio++-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libcdio++-devRemove libcdio++-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libcdio++-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libcdio++-devRemove libcdio++-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libcdio++-dev configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
