How To Install libcddb2-dev on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libcddb2-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libcddb2-dev
libcddb2-dev is:
libcddb is a C library to access data about Audio CD on a CDDB server
It allows one to search the database for CD matches, get detailed information about a CD and submit new CD entries to the database. It supports both the custom CDDB protocol and the tunneling of the query over HTTP. HTTP Proxying is supported. It also features a cache system.
This package contains the development headers required to compile libcddb-enabled programs.
There are three methods to install libcddb2-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libcddb2-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libcddb2-dev using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the libcddb2-dev package we can use the following command:

To remove libcddb2-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
