How To Install libc++-dev on Kali Linux

on Kali Linux.
What is libc++-dev
libc++-dev is:
libc++ is another implementation of the C++ standard library
Features and Goals
- Correctness as defined by the C++ standards.
- Fast execution.
- Minimal memory use.
- Fast compile times.
- ABI compatibility with gcc’s libstdc++ for some low-level features such as exception objects, rtti and memory allocation.
- Extensive unit tests. This is a dependency package providing the default LLVM C++ Standard library development files.
There are three methods to install libc++-dev
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libc++-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libc++-dev
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libc++-dev

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libc++-dev
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libc++-dev
Install libc++-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libc++-dev
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libc++-dev
How To Uninstall libc++-dev on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libc++-dev
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libc++-dev
Uninstall libc++-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libc++-dev
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libc++-dev
Remove libc++-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libc++-dev
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libc++-dev
Remove libc++-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libc++-dev
