How To Install libbrial3 on Kali Linux

What is libbrial3

libbrial3 is:

The core of BRiAl is a C++ library, which provides high-level data types for Boolean polynomials and monomials, exponent vectors, as well as for the underlying polynomial rings and subsets of the powerset of the Boolean variables. As a unique approach, binary decision diagrams are used as internal storage type for polynomial structures. On top of this C++-library a Python interface is provided. This allows parsing of complex polynomial systems, as well as sophisticated and extendable strategies for Groebner base computation. BRiAl features a powerful reference implementation for Groebner basis computation.

This package contains the BRiAl shared library libbrial.

There are three methods to install libbrial3 on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libbrial3 Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install libbrial3 using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install libbrial3

Install libbrial3 Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install libbrial3 using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install libbrial3

Install libbrial3 Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install libbrial3 using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install libbrial3

How To Uninstall libbrial3 on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the libbrial3 package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove libbrial3

Uninstall libbrial3 And Its Dependencies

To uninstall libbrial3 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove libbrial3

Remove libbrial3 Configurations and Data

To remove libbrial3 configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge libbrial3
