How To Install libbmusb4 on Ubuntu 18.04

In this tutorial we learn how to install libbmusb4
on Ubuntu 18.04.
What is libbmusb4
libbmusb4 is:
bmusb is a userspace driver for Blackmagic’s USB3 series of video capture and playback cards (although only the capture part is currently supported), in particular the Intensity Shuttle (HDMI) and UltraStudio SDI cards. These are not currently served by Blackmagic’s own Linux drivers.
bmusb is not API- or ABI-compatible with Blackmagic’s drivers.
This package contains the shared library.
There are three methods to install libbmusb4
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get

Install libbmusb4 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libbmusb4

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude

After updating apt database, We can install libbmusb4
using aptitude

sudo aptitude -y install libbmusb4
How To Uninstall libbmusb4 on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libbmusb4
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libbmusb4
Uninstall libbmusb4 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libbmusb4
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libbmusb4
Remove libbmusb4 Configurations and Data
To remove libbmusb4
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libbmusb4
Remove libbmusb4 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libbmusb4
