What is libbluray-doc
libbluray-doc is:
libbluray is an open-source library designed for Blu-Ray Discs playback for media players, like VLC or MPlayer. This research project is developed by an international team of developers from Doom9. libbluray integrates navigation, playlist parsing, menus, and BD-J.
NB: Most commercial Blu-Ray are restricted by AACS or BD+ technologies and this library is not enough to playback those discs.

There are three methods to install libbluray-doc
on Debian 11. We can use apt-get

and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libbluray-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libbluray-doc
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libbluray-doc

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libbluray-doc
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libbluray-doc
Install libbluray-doc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libbluray-doc
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libbluray-doc
How To Uninstall libbluray-doc on Debian 11
To uninstall only the libbluray-doc
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libbluray-doc

and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 11, we can use the command below:
