How To Install libblosc1 on Ubuntu 18.04

What is libblosc1
libblosc1 is:
Blosc is a high performance compressor optimized for binary data. It has been designed to transmit data to the processor cache faster than the traditional, non-compressed, direct memory fetch approach via a memcpy() OS call. Blosc is meant not only to reduce the size of large datasets on-disk or in-memory, but also to accelerate memory-bound computations.
It uses the blocking technique to reduce activity on the memory bus as much as possible. In short, this technique works by dividing datasets in blocks that are small enough to fit in caches of modern processors and perform compression / decompression there. It also leverages, if available, SIMD instructions (SSE2) and multi-threading capabilities of CPUs, in order to accelerate the compression / decompression process to a maximum.
There are three methods to install libblosc1 on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libblosc1 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install libblosc1 using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libblosc1
How To Uninstall libblosc1 on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libblosc1 package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libblosc1
Uninstall libblosc1 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libblosc1 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libblosc1
Remove libblosc1 Configurations and Data
To remove libblosc1 configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libblosc1
Remove libblosc1 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libblosc1 configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libblosc1
