What is libbinio

This binary I/O stream class library presents a platform-independent way to access binary data streams in C++. The library is hardware independent in the form that it transparently converts between the different forms of machine-internal binary data representation. It further employs no special I/O protocol and can be used on arbitrary binary data sources.

We can use yum or dnf to install libbinio on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install libbinio.

Install libbinio on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install libbinio using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install libbinio

Install libbinio on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install libbinio using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install libbinio

How To Uninstall libbinio on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the libbinio package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove libbinio
