How To Install libaxis-java on Debian 10

libaxis-java is:
Apache AXIS is an implementation of the SOAP (“Simple Object Access Protocol”) submission to W3C.
From the draft W3C specification:

It is an XML based protocol that consists of three parts: an envelope that defines a framework for describing what is in a message and how to process it, a set of encoding rules for expressing instances of application-defined datatypes, and a convention for representing remote procedure calls and responses.
This project is a follow-on to the Apache SOAP project.
There are three methods to install libaxis-java
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libaxis-java Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libaxis-java
using apt-get

sudo apt-get -y install libaxis-java

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libaxis-java
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libaxis-java
Install libaxis-java Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libaxis-java
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libaxis-java
How To Uninstall libaxis-java on Debian 10
To uninstall only the libaxis-java
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libaxis-java
Uninstall libaxis-java And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libaxis-java
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 10, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libaxis-java
Remove libaxis-java Configurations and Data
To remove libaxis-java
configuration and data from Debian 10 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libaxis-java
Remove libaxis-java configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libaxis-java
