How To Install libaspell-dev on Ubuntu 18.04

What is libaspell-dev
libaspell-dev is:
This package contains the headers and static libraries for developing applications with Aspell spell-checking support.
You need this package ONLY if you plan to build applications that link against the Aspell libraries. You do not have to install this package if all you want to do is use the Aspell program to spell-check documents.
There are three methods to install libaspell-dev on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libaspell-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libaspell-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libaspell-dev

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libaspell-dev using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libaspell-dev
Install libaspell-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libaspell-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libaspell-dev
How To Uninstall libaspell-dev on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libaspell-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libaspell-dev
Uninstall libaspell-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libaspell-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libaspell-dev
Remove libaspell-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libaspell-dev configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libaspell-dev
