How To Install libapacheds-java on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libapacheds-java on Kali Linux.
What is libapacheds-java
libapacheds-java is:
ApacheDS is an embbedable directory server entirely written in Java, which has been certified LDAPv3 compatible by the Open Group. Besides LDAP it supports Kerberos 5 and the Change Password Protocol. It has been designed to introduce triggers, stored procedures, queues and views to the world of LDAP which has lacked these rich constructs.
This package contains the core libraries for ApacheDS.
There are three methods to install libapacheds-java on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libapacheds-java Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libapacheds-java using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libapacheds-javaInstall libapacheds-java Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libapacheds-java using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libapacheds-javaInstall libapacheds-java Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libapacheds-java using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libapacheds-javaHow To Uninstall libapacheds-java on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libapacheds-java package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libapacheds-javaUninstall libapacheds-java And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libapacheds-java and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libapacheds-javaRemove libapacheds-java Configurations and Data
To remove libapacheds-java configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libapacheds-javaRemove libapacheds-java configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libapacheds-java configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libapacheds-javaDependencies
