How To Install libapache2-mod-webauth on Ubuntu 18.04

What is libapache2-mod-webauth
libapache2-mod-webauth is:
WebAuth is a cookie-based web authentication system built on top of Kerberos. It relies on a central authentication server that handles all user authentication for a domain and creates user authentication credentials for any web server that needs strong authentication.
This package contains the Apache module to do user authentication for individual web servers. This module does not do authorization; for an approach to LDAP-based authorization that works well with WebAuth, see libapache2-mod-webauthldap.
There are three methods to install libapache2-mod-webauth on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libapache2-mod-webauth Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libapache2-mod-webauth using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libapache2-mod-webauth
Install libapache2-mod-webauth Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libapache2-mod-webauth using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libapache2-mod-webauth
Install libapache2-mod-webauth Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libapache2-mod-webauth using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libapache2-mod-webauth
How To Uninstall libapache2-mod-webauth on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libapache2-mod-webauth package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libapache2-mod-webauth

To uninstall libapache2-mod-webauth and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libapache2-mod-webauth
Remove libapache2-mod-webauth Configurations and Data
To remove libapache2-mod-webauth configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libapache2-mod-webauth
Remove libapache2-mod-webauth configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libapache2-mod-webauth configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libapache2-mod-webauth
