How To Install libapache2-mod-webauth on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libapache2-mod-webauth on Kali Linux.
What is libapache2-mod-webauth
libapache2-mod-webauth is:
WebAuth is a cookie-based web authentication system built on top of Kerberos. It relies on a central authentication server that handles all user authentication for a domain and creates user authentication credentials for any web server that needs strong authentication.
This package contains the Apache module to do user authentication for individual web servers. This module does not do authorization; for an approach to LDAP-based authorization that works well with WebAuth, see libapache2-mod-webauthldap.
There are three methods to install libapache2-mod-webauth on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libapache2-mod-webauth Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libapache2-mod-webauth using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libapache2-mod-webauthInstall libapache2-mod-webauth Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libapache2-mod-webauth using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To remove libapache2-mod-webauth configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libapache2-mod-webauthRemove libapache2-mod-webauth configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
