What is libambix-dev

libambix-dev is:

libambix is a library of C routines for reading and writing files following the “ambix” (AMBIsonics eXchange) conventions.

Ambisonics is a periphonic (3D) surround sound technique, with a scalable spatial resolution (put simply: “the more audio channels you use, the better”). The ambix convention defines an extensible format for exchanging soundfiles containing Higher Order Ambisonics data.

This package provides the files necessary to compile an application using libambix.

There are three methods to install libambix-dev on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libambix-dev Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install libambix-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
