What is lemonldap-ng

lemonldap-ng is:

Lemonldap::NG is a complete Web-SSO system that can run with reverse-proxies or directly on application webservers. It can be used in conjunction with OpenID-Connect, CAS and SAML systems as identity or service provider. It can also be used as proxy between those federation systems.

It manages both authentication and authorization and provides headers for accounting. So you can have a full AAA protection. Authorization are built by associating a regular expression and a rule. Regular expression is applied on the requested URL and the rule calculates if the user is authorized.

This package is a metapackage that install handler, manager and portal.

There are three methods to install lemonldap-ng on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install lemonldap-ng Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install lemonldap-ng using apt-get by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install lemonldap-ng using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install lemonldap-ng

How To Uninstall lemonldap-ng on Ubuntu 18.04

To uninstall only the lemonldap-ng package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove lemonldap-ng

Uninstall lemonldap-ng And Its Dependencies

To uninstall lemonldap-ng and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove lemonldap-ng

Remove lemonldap-ng Configurations and Data

To remove lemonldap-ng configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge lemonldap-ng

Remove lemonldap-ng configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove lemonldap-ng configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge lemonldap-ng
