How To Install ldb-tools on Ubuntu 18.04

What is ldb-tools
ldb-tools is:
ldb is a LDAP-like embedded database built on top of TDB.
What ldb does is provide a fast database with an LDAP-like API designed to be used within an application. In some ways it can be seen as a intermediate solution between key-value pair databases and a real LDAP database.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install ldb-tools using apt-get by running the following command:

After updating apt database, We can install ldb-tools using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install ldb-tools using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ldb-tools
How To Uninstall ldb-tools on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the ldb-tools package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ldb-tools
Uninstall ldb-tools And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ldb-tools and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ldb-tools
Remove ldb-tools Configurations and Data
To remove ldb-tools configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ldb-tools
