This dependency package always depends on the latest available version of the package containing the part of the LCL for developing GTK+ applications.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install lcl-gtk2 using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install lcl-gtk2
How To Uninstall lcl-gtk2 on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the lcl-gtk2 package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove lcl-gtk2
Uninstall lcl-gtk2 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall lcl-gtk2 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove lcl-gtk2
Remove lcl-gtk2 Configurations and Data
To remove lcl-gtk2 configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge lcl-gtk2
Remove lcl-gtk2 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove lcl-gtk2 configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge lcl-gtk2
